RIO QUIJOS3 DaysClass: IV Cost: $495 Sign Up During these three days you run the rafting sections on the Rio Quijos as well as visit the increadable Cascada San Rafael. The trips are based from our riverside cabins so you have the opertunity to enjoy the peaceful gardens or go fishing or hiking. Price Includes: 2 nights hotel and food, rafting equipment, wetsuit, guides and local transportation Not Included: Transportation to and from Cabanas Tres Rios (we can arrange it if you wish), drinks and tips. Extra night options: $42 per person includes dinner and breakfast. Dates: Schedule anytime, trip minimum: 4 participants Sample ItineraryDay 1: Arrive to CTR, check in and enjoy lunch on the patio. After the river orientation we head upstream to the put in for the confluence section. It's action right from the start on this fast technical river. After the confluence with the Cosanga the river doubles in size with more powerful rapids that are spread out a bit more than the top section. We'll take out right at CTR.Day 2: After breakfast we'll head out to the Grand Canyon of the Quijos. Our put in is the basalt canyon at Bombon and we paddle through one of the more remote rafting runs in Ecuador. Spectacular waterfall, rainforest and birdlife fill in the brief moments between the powerful rapids. In the afternoon we visit the highest falls in Ecuador; Cascada San Rafael. We'll arrive back at CTR in time for a hot shower and dinner. Day 3: We'll run the exciting Picapiedra section right below the cabins and continue into the spectacular El Chaco Canyon. We get back in time for you to travel back to Quito or you can add another night at CTR and we can help you plan additional days of hiking and horseback riding. |
